Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen has become a well-known and respected player in the league at just 28 years old.
NFL Films posted a short clip of Allen’s highlight plays and him mic’d up to their Twitter on Wednesday, teasing the upcoming NFL Top 100 player list. The NFL Top 100 list is voted on by current NFL players every off-season based on how players from the previous season performed, and it will fully release on August 28th. Allen debuted for the first time in his career at No.88 on the 2022 Top 100 list after notching nine sacks and being selected for the Pro Bowl.
Allen’s current teammates have spoken highly of him throughout his career, mentioning his leadership, and skill level. “You have to have that guy who’s going to get on guys a little bit, but also be a guy who can encourage his teammates,” said Commander’s wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the video. Allen’s former Alabama teammate Quinnen Williams also was seen in the video, grinning ear to ear. “I’ll be like, yeah, that’s Jon he’s an unbelievable player,” said Williams.

When the list comes out for 2023, expect Allen to be higher up on the list after he had another impressive 7.5 sack season, including an interception.
