The Crimson Tide has its scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Nick Saban and the coaching staff want to see which players perform with discipline, physicality, toughness, and make plays. We are 21 days until the start of Alabama’s season opener at home against Middle Tennessee State on Saturday, Sept. 2. Tide fans are anxious to see the potential this team has of getting to the College Football Playoff and winning a national championship. Several notes will be compiled from the scrimmage — as the team will have one final game-like practice before the season begins — but here are five things fans need to pay attention to.
1. QB Competition: Does anyone separate as the leader?
Local reporters will wait with bated breath for Coach Saban after the scrimmage.
They want to know if someone in the quarterback room has separated as the leader.
Saban is fine with letting the cake bake until someone rises to the top, but fans do not want the cake to burn up and have no leader in the room.
