Why Nick Saban is happy but not satisfied with Jalen Milroe and Alabama’s offense

Nick Saban discussed why he is happy but not satisfied with Alabama’s offense and starting quarterback, Jalen Milroe, during his weekly interview on the Pat McAfee show.

Although Jalen Milroe has shown progress throughout the early season, Saban sees room for improvement. Milroe has thrown for 868 passing yards and six touchdowns while throwing three interceptions through five games.

Alabama’s offense has had rough starts to games this season, but Milroe has also led the Crimson Tide’s offense roaring back in moments. Saban feels the Alabama quarterback is improving week by week.

“I think we have had to make subtle changes to feature things that he can do, which I think he’s responded to very well,” Saban said. “And I think our entire offense has responded to. I do think he’s getting more and more comfortable and confident in the passing game, anticipating things, getting the ball out of his handle a little quicker. And of course, his ability and his athleticism to create plays is really a tremendous asset and puts a lot of pressure on the defense. So, I’m happy with the progress that we’ve made, not satisfied with where we can and want to be.”
