Alabama’s offense scored 40+ points in back-to-back weeks, yet it was not enough to impress the College Football Playoff Committee.
The Crimson Tide remains stagnant at No. 8 in the CFP rankings for a second straight week.
RELATED: Where Alabama was slotted in the College Football Playoff rankings following win over Kentucky
Missouri made a significant move in the rankings, climbing up to No. 9 to help Georgia’s case. Florida State is positioned to face Lousiville for the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship, and the Cardinals are 10th in the rankings. Washington and Oregon still have to play Oregon State, ranked No. 11, and the Beavers could help the Crimson Tide by beating both schools.
Texas, the No. 7 program in the CFP, has Iowa State, Texas Tech, and the Big 12 Championship Game left.
Everything could solve itself for Alabama to make the playoff, but Tide fans showed their frustration on social media.
No excuse for having Oregon over Bama and TX.

Bama fatigue
No SOS being used
Total sham— Gratefulife (@Johnson_KJ196) November 15, 2023
Absolutely WRONG. Oregon has ONE ranked win and lost to the only other ranked team they played.
Bama and Texas both have 3 top 25 wins.

If Bama wins out you can’t keep out of the CFP Top 4!! SEC is the best conference in CFB. You can’t keep the winner of the SEC out of the CFP.

The problem is, and nobody is willing to admit it, is that the CFP panel should be done away with. For that matter, I believe conferences should, too. Divide all the teams into 16 geographically based regions and then allow play regular season between games against your region…

Wrong and I see them keeping us out even after we beat Georgia. They hate BAMA
— Bama GAL 2:20✝️🤙🏼🐘🏆 (@labor4christ) November 15, 2023
Wrong… Texas barely beat a horrible tcu team, Oregon only played 2 ranked teams and lost to one…. Bama is 3-1 against top 18 teams… beating those three by 14 points a piece…
— Isaiah Gibbons (@isaiah_gibbons) November 15, 2023
It’s ridiculous. Tide has 1 loss and 3 ranked wins. Oregon has 1 loss and 1 ranked win. Make it make sense.
— Beefcake Tailgate (@beefcaketg1) November 15, 2023
Holding Bama back is the biggest case they can make for the 12 team playoff.
— Lee Halvorson (@WesleyHalvorson) November 15, 2023
Bring on expanded playoffs!!! This is a total sham.
— Amy Nachman (@dalmatianlover) November 15, 2023
Bama is being punished for playing a tough schedule. The committee is clearly showing bias and not even ranking teams off criteria THEY picked.
— Wayward (@alkymist20xx) November 15, 2023
The committee hates Bama point blank! They are almost as bad as Auburn and LSU fans. 🤦🏾♂️
— Big Chue 🐻🤎 (@Bigchue) November 15, 2023
Wrong, but they own their own destiny.
Win out & must win these next 2 very convincingly.
Chattanooga needs to be 65-0.
Auburn needs to be 55-0.
That would definitely get them to the 6th spot going into the SEC title game. Even if teams ahead of them win close. @AlabamaFTBL

Who has Oregon beat? USC? They’re not even as good as LSU, much less ole miss.
Still, Bama should go above them if they both win out, but Bama still needs help to get in.— Travis Sullivan (@Pranabowjake) November 15, 2023
