Kalen DeBoer makes interesting statement regarding Alabama QB Jalen Milroe

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer joined the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday afternoon and had some interesting things to say. One thing that stood out in particular was a comment that he made in regard to quarterback Jalen Milroe.

“When Jalen Milroe is fresh, there’s really nobody like him at the quarterback position in the country.”

DeBoer’s comments could raise some eyebrows given some of the recent struggles that Milroe has had. Some fans and onlookers might suggest that Milroe suffered an injury earlier in the season given his lack of production. Whatever the case may be, there are some that would argue for and against DeBoer’s recent commentary regarding Alabama’s signal-caller.

In 12 games, Milroe passed for 2,652 yards and 15 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. In addition, he rushed for 719 yards and 20 touchdowns. The Texas native has his share of ups and downs during the regular season. The hope is that Milroe and the Crimson Tide will receive an opportunity to compete in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff. That would be a good opportunity for he and his teammates to represent not only themselves but the University of Alabama as well.

With the stakes as high as possible, Milroe could further solidify DeBoer’s stance that he is arguably the best quarterback in the country when he is ‘fresh’.
