Alabama’s football’s redshirt junior quarterback, Ty Simpson has been invited to and will participate in the Manning Passing Academy held annually in Thibodaux, Louisiana at Nicholls State University, according to Ryan Fowler of Tide 100.9.
The event lasts four days and comprises of instructional coaching with the opportunity to compete against some of the top quarterbacks in the country.
Simpson is in the thick of the Alabama quarterback competition. The native of Martin, Tennessee had a strong spring and figures to be in the race until a starter is announced in the fall.
This event will allow Simpson to showcase his skillset and arm strength in a variety of different ways. The Manning’s (Archie, Cooper, Peyton, Eli) are the hosts of the event and several of the top football coaches will be present as well.
This event will be a good opportunity for Simpson to be coached and evaluated by some of the biggest names in the sport.
