Alabama TE says Tide players taking Tennessee game personal

Alabama tight end Josh Cuevas celebrates a touchdown in Bryant-Denny Stadium

Alabama football’s tight end room is taking the Crimson Tide’s upcoming game against Tennessee personally.

The Tide lost to the Vols last season 24-17 in a tight one. The loss has been one of the many things fueling the Tide since an up and down 9-4 season in 2024.

“It’s something that we’ve been chasing since last season,” Alabama’s tight end, Josh Cuevas said on “Hey Coach.” “And I can even give you an example. So, the tight ends, we have a football goal sheet, and we have a personal goal sheet that we do before every week to try and meet those goals. And most of the guys wrote down on their personal goals was to beat Tennessee because it is personal. It is something we take personal.”

Tennessee has won two of its last three meetings with Alabama, but the last time the Vols beat Alabama at home was in 2006. The Tide will look to keep it that way on Saturday.
