Alabama offers Mississippi ball-hawking safety at camp: “They have always been dominant”

Jaylin Andrews reported an Alabama offer after camping in front of the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff earlier this month.

Andrews attends Hattiesburg High School in Mississippi, and he is a member of the 2028 recruiting class. His early offer list now includes offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Ole Miss. Alabama is the ninth program to offer Andrews and is also the latest to do so.

The rising junior views earning an Alabama offer as significant, given the program’s reputation.

“This offer means a lot,” Andrews said. “This program is really great, and they produce great talent. They have always been dominant.”

Andrews is a long defensive back who displays a great feel for taking the ball away on the backend for Hattiesburg. The defensive playmaker also appears to have no problem with coming down to help in run support while making tackles close to the line of scrimmage.

“I think some of my strengths are my versatility and my knowledge of the game,” said Andrews
