Alabama football has had success with pulling in prospects from Hewitt-Trussville High School and are looking to grab some more Husky talent after offering 2022 4-Star defensive end, Justice Finkley, Monday.

Finkley is closing in on 20 Division 1 offers after receiving an offer from the Tide. The LSU Tigers were the first program to offer the Alabama product when they extended an offer to him in September of 2018. Despite just receiving an offer from Alabama, Finkley has visited Alabama a lot more than most of the other schools, who have offered him.

Alabama’s defensive line coach, Freddie Roach, and the Tide’s defensive back coach, Karl Scott, informed Finkley of his offer.

“I found out about the offer during a great conversation with coach Scott and coach Roach,” Finkley said. “When they gave me the offer, I was both honored and excited. Alabama is a championship team with a phenomenal legacy.”

The Hewitt-Trussville product has camped at Alabama multiple times in the past. At the Nick Saban Football Camp, prospects get the opportunity to get instructions from Saban and multiple members of Alabama’s staff. Finkley said he feels Saban’s success is unrivaled.

“Nick Saban is a legendary head coach,” Finkley added. “The success, that he has brought to Tuscaloosa is unmatched.”

At 6-2 and 255 pounds, the Huskies depended on the rising junior to provide constant pressure. Finkley wrapped up his sophomore season with 86 total tackles, 21 tackles for loss and nine sacks. Heading into his junior season, the 4-Star recruit wants to add some rush moves to his repertoire.

“Some of my strengths right now are getting off the ball and hunting down the ball carrier,” Finkley said. “This coming season, I would like to work on putting new moves in my toolbox.”

Alabama’s staff will look to continue building a relationship with Finkley and evaluating him as he continues to grow on and off the field.
