In the past decade, Alabama football has supplied multiple NFL teams with top tier receiving prospects who are ready to make waves in the NFL right from the get-go.

Jerry Jeudy is the next one to make a breakthrough.

With the full-contact portion of Denver Broncos training camp beginning, Jeudy has been a standout player on offense. Even the team’s cornerbacks can’t help but praise the 15th overall pick.

“He’s a great player,” said cornerback Bryce Callahan to the team’s website on Monday. “I love going up against him, because I know I’m getting better. He’s a savvy receiver and he knows how to create that separation that quarterbacks love to see.”

That’s all any NFL teams are looking to do each and every day they hit the practice field. Compete against the best players and get better. And Jeudy is not taking his teammates praise lightly because of the extensive experience each member of the secondary can share with the rookie.

“It means a lot because guys like that have like eight years in the league, so they’ve seen the best of the best,” Jeudy said. “Going out there and saying those type of words — [I’m] really excited to hear that from them.

Although Jeudy accepts the praise of his team with open arms, he hasn’t quite dipped his toe into the social media realm to look for feedback on his game.

“To be honest, I haven’t been dealing with it,” Jeudy said. “I just go out there and do what I do each and every day. I don’t really pay too much attention to it. It’s good that they say a lot of great things about me. I love to hear it, but I’m just out here trying to get better each and every day.”

The Broncos are currently set to take on the Tennessee Titans for its week one matchup this season, and without OTA’s and an altered training camp, Jeudy and the Broncos are getting the most out of each practice as they can.

“I don’t really think it’s really challenging for me because the more you practice, the more reps you get and the easier it gets,” Jeudy said. “I feel like us practicing right now is helping me adjust to the game. I know having OTAs and preseason games are a big deal, but I feel like if you’re not prepared when it’s game day, you’re not supposed to be out there. I feel like our coaches have been doing a good job preparing us to be ready for Sundays.”
