An Alabama assistant coach welcomes an addition to his family that will watch him coach the Crimson Tide.

Colin Hitschler, 38, was a co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at the University of Wisconsin in 2023, but he was hired to the University of Alabama on Kalen DeBoer's staff to do the same thing.

He is excited to work with the four and five-star athletes at his disposal in the defensive backfield, but he is overjoyed to be a father for a third time. Hitschler and his wife, Becca, welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world on Sunday.

Christopher William Hitschler now has two older sisters, Catherine and Isabel, who are ready to teach and protect him.

Coach Hitschler is hungry to help Coach DeBoer guide Alabama to a national championship in the fall.

He is enjoying the early moments of being a father to a son.
