Bryce Perry-Wright earned an offer from the new football staff at the University of Alabama late last month and made his first visit to Tuscaloosa to see the new regime Saturday for Junior Day.

Perry-Wright attends Buford High School in Georgia, and he is trending to be one of the nation's top 2026 defensive lineman prospects. His offer list is extensive with more than 25 college football offers, including offers from Ohio State, Texas and Oregon.

The tradition of success Alabama has enjoyed on the gridiron is something the Georgia product admires.

"It's always a blessing, just knowing the culture and the past history they have," Perry-Wright said when discussing holding an offer from the Crimson Tide.

Perry-Wright shared he had a good visit to Tuscaloosa and was impressed with the culture he feels is being built in the early stages of the DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama's new staff re-offered the sophomore as he previously held an offer when Nick Saban was the head coach of the Tide. Alabama's new head coach, Kalen DeBoer's previous success at Washington makes Perry-Wright feels Alabama is still in a good position.

"Their head coach just went to the championship, so he knows what he doing," said Perry-Wright.

Buford reaped the benefits of Perry-Wright being a dominant defensive lineman as a sophomore. He displayed explosive power and strength while working in the trenches during the 2023 football season at 6-foot-3 and approximately 240 pounds.
