Alabama football fans have made it to the first day of spring practice in the Kalen DeBoer era.

We are about to get a glimpse of the 2024 version of Crimson Tide football after 2023 became the final year of Nick Saban's tenure as the head coach. DeBoer is scheduled to speak to reporters following practice, but a freshman wide receiver decided to put work in with an Alabama quarterback before sessions start.

Caleb Odom, a four-star from Carrollton, Ga., shared a photo to Instagram on Sunday of him getting reps in with Ty Simpson in Birmingham, Ala. Simpson, a redshirt sophomore, is pushing for the starting quarterback job.

He arrived on the University of Alabama's campus in 2022 as a five-star from Martin, Tenn.

The 6-foot-2, 203-pounder has a talented arm, and he's been perfecting his craft in the offseason.

Odom was one of the top prospects in the 2024 class. The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder brings marquee talent in the passing game, especially if he has an early impact in spring practice.

It will be interesting to see how things go with Simpson and Odom.
