He anticipates becoming the first University of Alabama kicker to win the Lou Groza Award, but Will Reichard has picked up a few honors since the Southeastern Conference Championship Game.

The fifth-year senior from Hoover (Ala.) High School won SEC's Special Teams Player of the Year.

An announcement came Wednesday from the league's coaches. Reichard also made first-team All-SEC as a placekicker and second-team All-SEC as a kickoff specialist. He has turned in an incredible career for the Crimson Tide, including a perfect season on field goals (14-for-14) and extra points (84-for-84) in 2020. Reichard assisted the Tide to an SEC Championship and a College Football Playoff National Championship that year. He's made 20 of 23 field goals (87 percent) and all 53 extra points this year.
