He has made this season one for Alabama fans to remember, and it will be even sweeter with a national championship.

Jalen Milroe has made his acronym, "L.A.N.K.," a reality.

The sophomore quarterback has let all naysayers know how dynamic he and the Crimson Tide are since its week two loss to Texas. Milroe's poise, confidence, and leadership led the Tide to 11 straight victories after the Texas game, including a win over a program that had not lost in 29 games. Milroe recorded two touchdown passes versus Georgia in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game, pacing Alabama to a 27-24 victory last week at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The native Texan earned Most Valuable Player honors and gave Nick Saban his ninth SEC Championship as the Crimson Tide's head coach.

Milroe has the Tide in the College Football Playoff but received something more significant.

Alabama football held its annual awards banquet on Sunday at the Sheraton in Birmingham, Ala. Milroe received several awards from the event -- including Commitment to Academic Excellence, Most Inspiring Player, and Offensive Player of the Year.

The two most significant honors he received were Most Valuable Player and Permanent Team Captain.

His teammates voted him for both. The players around him believe in him and play for him. Milroe watched Bryce Young be the team's MVP and Permanent Team Captain for two years, so for him to win is very special. Young, the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner, did not lead the Tide to a CFP National Championship as its starting quarterback.

Milroe now has the opportunity to accomplish that as he's prepared to LANK more people to believe.
