Derick Smith has announced a commitment to Alabama.

Smith is a four-star athlete out of Southside Selma High School in Selma, Alabama. He becomes the Crimson Tide’s fifth 2025 commit. 

The in-state recruit is one of the most versatile defenders in the country. He has the potiential to play on either side of the football at the next level.
