Alabama's offensive line, the tackle position in particular, will be heavily looked at in Saturday's scrimmage.

The Crimson Tide takes to Bryant-Denny Stadium for another game-like practice before A-Day.

Kalen DeBoer highlighted pass protection as an issue after the first scrimmage.

Alabama has talent at offensive tackle, but it needs to locate the guys it can trust to protect quarterback Jalen Milroe. Miles McVay, a former four-star from East St. Louis, Ill., enters his second season in the program. He was one of a few linemen signed in the 2023 class, joining Olaus Alinen, Wilkin Formby, Kadyn Proctor, and Roq Montgomery. The 6-foot-6, 350-pounder is a powerful specimen who has been rotating with Formby in competing for the right tackle job.

McVay, a redshirt freshman, played in four games for Alabama's 2023 Southeastern Conference Championship team, but he is on the clock to step up more.

Is he prepared to seize the moment and show Chris Kapilovic -- the Crimson Tide's offensive line coach -- he is the one to anchor on the right side? McVay shared a photo to social media of him loading up for the second scrimmage.

He is in the photo with a pair of former five stars on defense, James Smith and Qua Russaw.

McVay has excelled in setting up the run game, but we shall see how much he's improved at pass blocking.
