Could we see a rebirth of the University of Alabama reinvesting in its football program with former players?

Kalen DeBoer wants Crimson Tide alums to be part of the program.

The 49-year-old is Alabama's 28th head coach, coming over from the University of Washington.

He knows what it takes to build a winning program, but DeBoer understands that having former Alabama players come back and reinvest is important. Nick Saban allowed alums to use the practice facility, weight room facility, and the aspects of the program to better themselves and others.

DeBoer is seeing what makes this place special, but he explained in his introductory press conference that he is all in on having alums back in the program.

"We need you," DeBoer said in his press conference last week to Alabama alums.

Alabama returned Ha'Sean "HaHa" Clinton-Dix as a director of player development.

Josh Chapman has been an assistant strength coach on staff as a former player. It is time for the Tide to return more former players to help teach the culture of what it means to be at Alabama.
