Breaking: Tight End Kedrick James Enters Transfer Portal

According to Al.com, Alabama tight end Kedrick James has entered the NCAA transfer portal. The 6’5″ tight end is entering his junior season has been used sparingly throughout his first two seasons in Tuscaloosa.

James arrived at UA as a four-star recruit in the 2017 class out of Texas. The tight end only saw action in five games his freshman season due to an injury to Miller Forristal.

His sophomore season was plagued by injury and suspension. During the Arkansas game, James suffered an ankle injury that forced him to miss the majority of the season. Later on, James was suspended for the College Football Playoff against Oklahoma and the championship game against Clemson.

Head coach Nick Saban also announced in March of this year that James would be suspended for the first four games of the upcoming season.

James is now the ninth Alabama player to enter his name into the transfer portal in 2019.
