Alabama ranked at No. 5 by SI: Is this too low?

Sports Illustrated has spoken.

The esteemed sports magazine released its top 25 preseason college football rankings Wednesday, and six SEC West teams made the cut. Alabama comes in at No. 5, behind Notre Dame, TCU and Auburn. Ohio State reigns supreme on the list as the No.1 team.

The Crimson Tide is ranked No. 3, according to the Amway Coaches’ Poll.
