Alabama’s Ryan Kelly becomes the Crimson Tide’s second offensive center in program history to win the Rimington Trophy. He joins ex-Alabama player Barrett Jones (2012).
Kelly, a senior, has anchored an offensive line that’s blocked for 34.1 points, 208.2 rushing yards and 422.5 total yards per game. He guided running back Derrick Henry to 1,986 rushing yards and 23 scores (leads Southeastern Conference). Kelly and the Crimson Tide will face No. 4-ranked Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl for a semifinal playoff game on Dec. 31.
