A terrible center to quarterback exchange resulted in Cincinnati’s 17-20 loss to Denver on Monday Night Football. It was a mishap that also led to a sprained wrist for Bengals’ quarterback AJ McCarron. The injury was sustained on his left hand and a MRI told of just a sprain. He totaled 200 passing yards with a touchdown on the road.
ESPN’s NFL reporter Ed Werder released the news via Twitter.

Cincinnati head coach Marvin Lewis does expect McCarron to play in the team’s regular season finale next week against Baltimore. It will take its time returning Andy Dalton (thumb) and despite signing Mike Kafka to the practice squad, McCarron may have to suit up for its first playoff game. His reps may be monitored in practice this week, but he avoids a scare and looks to position Cincinnati for a No. 1 seed.
