Could the Auburn (Ala.) native be hinting at a possible return to Tuscaloosa for his senior year? That is the impression Reuben Foster has given Alabama fans.
Foster, 6-foot-1, 240 pounds, finally broke through the clutter this season. He finished with 72 tackles, despite being hampered by injuries in his first two years. The junior had eight tackles for loss, a sack, nine pass breakups and three quarterback hurries.
Foster was a pivotal member of Alabama’s 2013 recruiting class, a group that earned its national champion status Monday night in a 45-40 victory over Clemson.
He is one of three juniors (Jonathan Allen, O.J. Howard) that has yet to make a decision concerning the NFL Draft. The final deadline to declare is Monday, Jan. 18.
