Through each recruiting cycle, ESPN will release their “ESPN300” list which is a coveted spot for recruits nationally. And as the season progresses, that list can change at any time of any day. By National Signing Day in 2016, Alabama had 16 of their commitments ranked in the final installment of the ESPN300, the highest-ranked being linebacker signee Ben Davis at No.25.
The first 2017 ESPN300 list was released on Tuesday and Alabama’s commitments were plentiful on the gaudy list. Leading the way is Alabama’s most highly-touted commitment, running back Najee Harris out of Antioch High School in Antioch, Cal. who holds the No.4 spot.
