After not being selected through seven rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft and being cut from both Washington and Detroit, offensive lineman Dominick Jackson now is in search of a third NFL team.
Jackson was waived from the Lions on Tuesday, according to a tweet posted by Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle and a article via NFL trade rumors. He was initially signed by the Redskins as an undrafted free agent, until he was cut after rookie minicamp. Jackson would then be signed to the Lions and despite looking at a $450,000 base salary, his opportunity was short lived.

He played two seasons at Alabama (2014-15) after transferring from College of San Mateo.
Jackson was a serviceable blocker at right tackle, helping running back Derrick Henry total 2,219 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns in his 2015 run to the Heisman Trophy. He was named second team All-SEC for his efforts as a senior and was a member on the Tide’s national championship squad.
