Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor “indefinitely suspended” per Nick Saban

Offensive tackle Cameron Robinson and safety Laurence Jones will have another member on the indefinite suspension list. Coach Nick Saban announced per Matt Zenitz of AL.com, that offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor has been “indefinitely suspended” since his DUI arrest Sunday morning.

Per Zenitz, Saban said:

“We are very disappointed any time a player makes a choice that leads to this kind of behavior. We are still in the process of gathering all the details on the situation, but from a football standpoint, Alphonse Taylor has been indefinitely suspended from the team.”

Taylor, who played in all 15 games last season, enters his senior year and second season possibly starting at right guard. He guided Derrick Henry to 2,219 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns, while missing just 12 assignments during the year. Weight issues caused Taylor to lose his starting role in spring practice and with being under suspension, a possibility of missing a couple games could be on the horizon. Both Bradley Bozeman and Brandon Kennedy saw reps at right guard during spring ball.
