Alabama fans will see one final preseason accolade, before watching its team take the field.
The Crimson Tide had seven players announced to USA Today Sports’ preseason All-America Teams on Friday, according to Paul Myerberg. Five of the nominees were named first-team selections, including Calvin Ridley (WR), Cameron Robinson (OL), Jonathan Allen (DL), Reuben Foster (LB) and JK Scott (P). Tight end O.J. Howard and safety Eddie Jackson both garnered second-team accolades.
Head coach Nick Saban and Alabama will battle No. 20-ranked Southern California on next week at AT&T Stadium, to kick off its 2016 college football season.
