It’s been a while since Tennessee has had something to cheer about.
Coach Butch Jones, quarterback Joshua Dobbs and the Volunteers will embrace a fan base this week at Neyland Stadium for its 99th meeting against Alabama. Tennessee enters Saturday’s game at 5-1, and remains with having all the possibilities of getting to Atlanta for the Southeastern Conference title game.
Alabama is 9-0 against the Vols, since Nick Saban took over at head coach in 2007.
The Crimson Tide is in a dangerous stretch of games, however, it can run the table if it wins out. Despite having numerous players out for this game, the Volunteers tend to always give a little more when facing Alabama.
CBS Sports will have the call for Saturday’s match-up at 2:30 p.m.
