TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– Alabama’s Cameron Robinson was named offensive lineman of the week for the Southeastern Conference on Monday morning, according to the league’s office.
The junior left tackle was awarded for his efforts last week against Auburn, posting a grade of 89 percent while not allowing a sack or a quarterback hurry. Robinson cleared the way for 26 first downs, 203 rushing yards and 501 total yards in the Crimson Tide’s 30-12 victory. He aided quarterback Jalen Hurts to a 75 percent completion mark (27 of 36 passing), which the highest in Iron Bowl history. Behind Robinson, Hurts accounted for 286 passing yards, 37 rushing yards and three total touchdowns, moving him to 33 scores responsible for.
The Monroe, La., native has blocked for 10 100-yard rushers this season, and is a finalist for the Outland Trophy, which is presented annually to college football’s top interior lineman.
