While many fans have their eyes focused on NSD, you can’t overlook 2017 4-star DL Phidarian Mathis. Mathis is a Louisiana native, and had a final of Alabama and LSU, and went with the former.
Mathis committed at his friends grave, who tragically passed in 2015. Mathis has college size at 6’4 and 287. Mathis is ranked as the 99th player in the country and an universal 4-star.
Mathis provides a much needed depth at the DL. Mathis will go along with Isaiah Buggs in this class, with the possibility of adding Aubrey Solomon or Jarez Parks.
