Three concepts to watch for on A-Day

Nick Saban folding his arms

With the Walk of Champions adding its new piece of glory – Alabama’s 2016 Southeastern Conference championship stone – Crimson Tide fans are prepared to fill up Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday for the program’s 11th A-Day game under head coach Nick Saban.

Although it has signed a lot of talent and returns some experience, the spring game for the Tide is all about concepts. After hiring Brian Daboll from the National Football League as offensive coordinator, people will have a close eye on sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts and the wide receiver unit.

Defensively, Saban wants discipline in the secondary and a fierce pass rush. In the spirit of A-Day, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine went live Thursday on The Way It Is, to discuss three important concepts for fans to take notice of.
