Doug Nester Announces Top 5

Doug Nester announced his Top 5 via Twitter on today and included Alabama. He made the announcement that the Tide offered him on Saturday.

West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida and Ohio State were also in his top 5.

Nester is an offensive lineman in the 2019 class. Neither ESPN nor 247 sports have released a recruiting ranking for him. The 6’4” 295- pounder is great at lead blocking. He is fast enough to pull block with great effectiveness. He is also very skilled at opening up holes for runners. The Tide have always had great running backs on their roster that had a lot to thank offensive linemen for. Nester could be the next great offensive tackle that Tide runners come to appreciate. The West Virginia native will have a huge opportunity to go to the next level if he chooses the Tide.

Cam Robinson was the latest Tide tackle to reach the NFL level. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Robinson in the 2nd round at the 2017 NFL draft. The Crimson Tide will add another great offensive lineman to their 2019 recruiting class with a commit from Nester. Pierce Quick, of Hewitt-Trussville High School, has already committed to Alabama and could soon have some company to join him. Alabama recruiting seems to be on a roll at the moment. Recruits from the 2018 and 2019 recruiting class continues to provide the Tide with something to be excited about.
