Alabama has its 2018 recruiting class signed, sealed and delivered and now must turn their attention to the 2019 recruiting cycle. To some, it may seem to early to even discuss this class, but it is never to early to discuss anything about college football recruiting. Especially, when players are receiving offers in middle school.

Recruiting has no off-season and with the addition of the early signing period; teams have to stay on the recruiting trail all year long. With that being said, here is a breakdown of the guys that have given Alabama a verbal commitment in the 2019 class.

Pierce Quick

Quick is the No. 2 player in the state of Alabama and is the No. 4 OT in the nation. Every recruiting outlet except ESPN has this guy as a 5-Star. ESPN has him ranked as a 4-Star. Either way, this is a special talent and Alabama is lucky to have a verbal from him. He has great size at 6-feet-5-inches and 277 pounds and can move with the best of them. He has outstanding footwork and makes it very difficult for a defensive lineman to get around him.

King Mwikuta

Mwikuta is a 4-Star OLB out of Georgia. He is great at rushing off the edge and setting the edge on outside runs. He can play sideline to sideline and has a never quit attitude. He is seen countless time on tape running down players from behind and being relentless on the attack.

Brendan Gant

Gant is a 4-Star safety out of Lakeland, Florida. He has great coverage technique and knows how to attack the ball. A quick look at this guy’s game and you can tell he is great in coverage. His hip movement is exceptional and allows him to easily change directions.

Brandon Turnage

Turnage is a 4-Star CB and is the No.6 CB in this class according to ESPN. He is one of the more athletic guys in this class and could honestly play on the offensive side of the ball. He is very explosive and uses his offensive knowledge to aid him on defense. It is easy to tell this guy knows how to detect plays early and stop them in their tracks.
