He will not play against Oklahoma – according to head coach Nick Saban at media day – but Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis did have a special message for the press.
The junior will to return to school for his senior year in 2019.
A former-five star from Washington, D.C., Lewis has been sidelined by injuries in the last two seasons. He suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his knee on July 13 and has not played this year.
The 6-foot-5, 256-pounder missed 10 games in 2017 because of an elbow issue; however, his return in the College Football Playoff was huge as he recorded a career-high seven tackles and a pivotal sack of Georgia’s Jake Fromm in the national title game.

Despite having thoughts about the NFL Draft, Lewis is sticking with the “unfinished business” moniker that’s been shown by his teammates.
“I want to play,” Lewis said. “I want to have a legacy when I leave Alabama.”
Seeing flashes of him has been nice, but full action of him healthy is what Crimson Tide fans would truly relish. In speaking with freshman outside linebacker, Cameron Latu, he said Lewis is doing “beastly things” as usual.
“He’s good man,” Latu said of Lewis. “Dude is out there moving, cutting and playing 7-on-7 with everybody.”
Upon bringing the product from St. John’s High School up to Jamey Mosley, the redshirt senior just smiled and laughed.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am of Terrell,” Mosley said. “He’s going to be better than ever when he returns. The fact that he went through two injuries that were supposed to be season-ending and watching him bounce back, the story is not over for him.”
As for Lewis himself, he told yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine that he is fine and followed it up by laughing and taking video of his teammates having fun.
