For some players, HBO’s “Hard Knocks” is a chance to put themselves out there and get a chance at fame where they regularly wouldn’t. But other’s would prefer to fly under the radar and just go about their business. The latter is Raiders running back Josh Jacobs.
Normally the football series follows the biggest stars on each team but also introduces the people to the rookies. It came as a bit of a surprise to some that the show has gotten two episodes in and there was no sight of the teams first-round pick.
Jacobs already has one of the most interesting stories of anyone in the draft. What he had to go through growing up and how he got to Alabama is a gold mine for any docuseries. There have even been talks about his story getting developed into a movie but still, he is a no show on “Hard Knocks”.
Well, late last night after the second episode debuted, the rookie took to Twitter and answered the question everyone was asking.
If you wondering why I’m not on hardknocks it’s because I be hiding from them 😂😂😂

It turns out it’s Jacobs own choice not to be in front of the cameras…yet. This is an important time for a lot of players who are trying to make rosters and work up depth charts. As of right now, it appears as if Jacobs would prefer to watch himself film rather than watch himself on HBO.
