It has transitioned its focus to this week’s matchup against New Mexico State, but a lot of good things occurred for Alabama football in its win over Duke. The Crimson Tide totaled 512 yards offensively, scored 42 points and the connection between Tua Tagovailoa and his receivers is growing stronger.

Defensively, Alabama held Duke to three points, 204 yards offensively and forced three turnovers — including two interceptions.
True freshmen linebackers, Shane Lee and Christian Harris combined for 12 tackles (six each) and looked very comfortable in all situations.
Improvements need to be made on the offensive line and the Tide missed two field goals; however, it was a smooth performance overall.
