Following Alabama’s 47-23 win over South Carolina, Nick Saban took questions from reporters in providing what the Crimson Tide did well and what needs to be improved.
He spoke on the success of Tua Tagovailoa and the passing game, and how pleased he was to see the fight of his defense on a couple of goal line stands. Tagovailoa had a career-high 444 passing yards with five touchdown passes on 28 of 36 passes completed. The duo of Devonta Smith and Henry Ruggs III each totaled 100+ yards receiving, while two of Smith’s eight receptions resulted in scores.
Despite giving up 23 points, only once did Alabama’s defense allow a touchdown in the red zone.
Improvements must be made going forward, but Saban will continue to challenge his team.
