After a 47-23 win over South Carolina, Stephen Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine provided an instant analysis from the game on the Crimson Tide.
Tua Tagovailoa, junior quarterback, had a career game with 444 passing yards and five touchdowns on 28 of 36 passes completed.

Tagovailoa connected with nine different receivers — including two in Devonta Smith and Henry Ruggs III that totaled 100+ yards receiving. Najee Harris caught five passes for 87 yards and two scores, with one of his touchdowns was an act of exceptional athleticism.
The junior caught a dump pass from Tagovailoa, stiff-armed a defender, hurdled another tackler, and maintained his balance to reach the end zone.
While its defense allowed 23 points, the Crimson Tide gave up one touchdown in the red zone to South Carolina. Alabama will return to Bryant-Denny Stadium next week to host Southern Mississippi.
