PODCAST: Sizing up Texas A&M for Alabama, talking recruiting for Tide

Alabama begins its push toward the College Football Playoff on Saturday, while Texas A&M looks to stop the frustration and right its ship.

Fans at Kyle Field will make a difference as the 12th Man anticipates creating a distraction for Tua Tagovailoa and the Crimson Tide’s offense.

Alabama head coach, Nick Saban announced on Thursday via his “Hey Coach” show that Landon Dickerson and Deonte Brown will both start versus the Aggies. With Chris Owens (knee) listed as ‘very questionable,’ Dickerson is in line to start at center.

Brown will line up at right guard and the offensive line should be able to initiate balance in the passing attack and running game. Defensively, all eyes will be on leadership players such as Raekwon Davis, Terrell Lewis, Anfernee Jennings and Xavier McKinney among others.

If the Crimson Tide contains the outside, pressures Kellen Mond consistently and prevents big plays, the atmosphere at Kyle Field should not affect it. On Thursday’s airing of In My Own Words, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine was joined by Mark Passwaters of aggieyell.com (Rivals) and Justin Smith of TDA Magazine (lead scouting/recruiting analyst) to size up Texas A&M in this matchup with Alabama and discuss the latest updates in recruiting.
