ESPN personality says LSU will defeat Alabama, whether Tagovailoa plays or not

Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa (#13) drops back to pass in 2019 matchup against South Carolina.
Jeff Blake - USA TODAY Sports

Even Peter Burns of SEC Network is all in on LSU.

The television host believes the Tigers will defeat the Crimson Tide on Saturday, regardless of Tua Tagovailoa’s status. The junior quarterback has practiced all week and anticipates starting inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Burns is the latest of national media names to push the narrative of this LSU team being different than the ones the Tide has faced in recent years.

A lot of things are at stake in this matchup, but the College Football Playoff stands as the most important one. Whoever loses this meeting between the Tide and Tigers will have a difficult chance of getting back into the conversation, unless chaos ensues across the landscape.
