If you were looking for Tua Tagovailoa to open up about his NFL future on Thursday, it will not happen in the press conference. While he has shared candid thoughts with ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit in regarding his decision, the junior quarterback won’t be discussing it with reporters.
An explanation was provided via Alabama football’s Twitter account.
To clarify for everyone, Tua will meet with the local press today, but no announcement will be made.

He is expected to be meet with local media outlets inside the Mal Moore Athletic Facility; however, nothing will be stated about his potential future in football. With draft grades usually being revealed to coaches before bowl games, Tagovailoa will more than likely make his decision along with his draft-eligible teammates. The native Hawaiian suffered a dislocated right hip injury versus Mississippi State in the second quarter. He had to have surgery on it and missed the remainder of the regular season.
