Along for the trip was also injured quarterback Tua Tagovailoa who continues to support the team as much as he can despite not being able to contribute on the field. Tagovailoa suffered a dislocated hip against Mississippi State which prematurely ended his season.
In the past Tagovailoa has expressed that it is difficult for him to watch his teammates play while he is not able to.
“Well, it’s really tough being able to watch your guys go out there and play and not be able to do anything to help them,” Tagovailoa said during a press conference on Dec. 5. “The only thing I could do is try to encourage them. But it hurts.”
But that hasn’t stopped him from being there for his brothers on the sideline during the games.
Before the injury, Tagovailoa was off to another fantastic season passing for 2,840 yards and 33 touchdowns in just nine games this season.
Alabama will square off against Michigan in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1 at 12 p.m. CT at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL.
