Kalen DeBoer spoke with AL.com recently, and he discussed Alabama football not losing any players to the transfer portal.
The Crimson Tide added two tight ends when the spring transfer portal was open and managed to hold on to all of the scholarship players they had before the portal window opened.
DeBoer gave his thoughts on why it happened.
“I think we had a lot of turnover again after the season was over, and then I think, you really start getting into where who your team is,” DeBoer said. “I think that these guys are doing a great job of continuing to build relationships. I think the coaching staff is doing a great job of developing these guys where they feel like, man, ‘there’s value I can bring to the team.’ This spring was really good in a lot of ways.”
Alabama football will look to capitalize on holding its roster together and have a strong summer before opening up the 2025 season on the road against Florida State.
