Nick Saban is getting all the defensive minds together for this season.
After hiring Charlie Strong as an analyst and Max Bullough as a graduate assistant, Saban is bringing Bert Biffani from Texas A&M University as a defensive analyst. He joins the Crimson Tide after spending last season with Jimbo Fisher as a grad assistant.
Thank you Coach Fisher and the rest of Texas A&M for the incredible experience I had in College Station.
With that being said I’m excited to say that I am joining the defensive staff at the University of Alabama. #RollTide pic.twitter.com/r1DVGIYnr5

Biffani was with Fisher at Florida State from 2013-17 (five seasons) as a quality control coach.
He helped the Seminoles capture a BCS National Championship in 2013 and two Atlantic Coast Conference titles in 2013-14. Biffani contributed to four 10-win seasons and in February of 2018, he was hired to Tennessee as the quality control coach for Jeremy Pruitt. With Saban knowing Fisher and Pruitt very well, hiring a guy that’s worked with both is big for him.
