PODCAST: Who will be Alabama’s most impactful defensive player this season?

Alabama did not have an alpha personality on defense in the last two years. 

After failing to secure a national championship, Nick Saban made it known on ESPN’s First Take on the players he wants as leaders for the Crimson Tide. In operating a complex system at Alabama, there are a few character traits Saban requires from his impact players.

Qualities such as communication, toughness, attention to details and productivity stand out among the traits.

For the Tide to return to the College Football Playoff and win it all, it has to have somebody or a group of athletes willing to do the necessary things on defense to be successful. 

In Wednesday’s airing of In My Own Words, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine provided a breakdown of the traits that Saban likes in a leader and names the individual who will be the most impactful player on defense.
