Tua Tagovailoa or Joe Burrow: Who will be the better QB in the NFL?

Marvin Gentry - USA TODAY Sports

With the NFL Draft in two weeks, information has started to surface on each quarterback prospect in this class.

The stocks of Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts have rose, while Tua Tagovailoa and Jordan Love have taken a back seat on some boards.

For the most part, Joe Burrow of Louisiana State University has remained the same as the No. 1 signal caller.

Despite the season he had with the Tigers in 2019, one has to wonder on was it truly Burrow being excellent or was it the system Joe Brady installed. Prior to Brady’s arrival, Burrow accounted for just 16 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2018.

He did not even crack 3,000 yards passing; however, he exploded for record-setting numbers last year and won the Heisman.

If one were to remove injuries from Tagovailoa’s resume, he would be the most decorative, winningest and clutch quarterback in Alabama history. He juggled three different sets of offensive coordinators and still managed to grab almost every significant school record.

The native Hawaiian is a conference champion, a national champion, an All-American and Heisman runner-up among other things. While most analyst consider Burrow a “safer pick” than Tagovailoa, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discusses one thing the former five-star has over his counterpart.
