Knott, a native of Madison, Miss., arrived in the Crimson Tide’s 2016 recruiting class as a four-star cornerback. The 5-foot-11, 182-pounder came in with much potential; however, a knee injury forced him to redshirt his freshman season. Despite playing in 12 games combined for 2017 and 2018, he could not shake the injury bug. He missed the entire 2019 season after not being medically cleared for football, but he did manage to obtain his degree on last week.
Knott entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Jan. 27 and after getting the clearance from the medical staff, he is ready for his second chance at football. Tide nation definitely hopes the best for him. Knott was on two Southeastern Conference title teams (2016, 2018) and a College Football Playoff National Championship team in 2017.
