The NCAA announced the current recruiting dead period has been extended through June 30 Wednesday.
Under this dead period, no in-person contact between college coaches and prospects is allowed on or off-campus. This decision takes away any opportunity for Alabama to host any recruits in the near future as Division 1 football will also be on a previously scheduled dead period from July 1 to July 24.
Alabama’s coaching staff have maneuvered around the challenges these current recruiting restrictions have caused by virtually recruiting via Zoom calls and FaceTime. Nick Saban has also jumped on the train by FaceTiming some of the Tide’s top targets.

Several prospects had expressed interest in visiting Alabama if the current recruiting restrictions were lifted.
