Not only is Alabama continuing to heat up on the recruiting trail, but it’s taking all the talent from the state of Florida for 2021.
On Wednesday, the Crimson Tide landed its 10th verbal commitment and fifth from the sunshine state in four-star outside linebacker, Dallas Turner.
After signing a haul of players at the position in 2019 and 2020, getting a talent like Turner provides a huge smile on Sal Sunseri’s face.
Sunseri, 59, will enter his second year at outside linebackers’ coach for Alabama this fall.
He is in his second stint with the program, as he was first with the Tide from 2009-11 – serving as assistant head coach and linebackers’ coach.

Jeff Banks, tight ends’ coach and special teams’ coordinator, gets much love on the recruiting trail but Charles Huff is starting to pop.
The second-year running backs’ coach was responsible for the school getting the commitments of JC Latham (five-star, offensive tackle), Jacorey Brooks (four-star, wide receiver), Devonta Smith (four-star, defensive back) and now Turner.
Justin Smith, the lead scouting/recruiting analyst for Touchdown Alabama Magazine, joined yours truly via In My Own Words on Wednesday to talk Turner and Huff. While he mentioned Turner being a ‘special’ talent, Smith said Huff needs to land a commitment from four-star running back Donovan Edwards to put the icing on a very strong class to this point.
Per Smith, Edwards is currently leaning toward Michigan.
Latham is the lone commitment to have a diamond grade from Smith. He has one diamond, which means “immediate contributor and game changer.”
