Has the leadership council returned for Alabama football?
Nick Saban spoke on it last week via Crimson Tide Sports Network.
He told the cast of Eli Gold, John Parker Wilson, Rashad Johnson and others on his excitement to have veteran players back on the roster this season. Saban said he is ‘very proud’ to see this group take initiative in helping younger players, as well as continuing to work on themselves.
After not winning a national championship in each of the last two seasons, the experienced leaders on this year’s team – which include Najee Harris, Alex Leatherwood, Dylan Moses and DeVonta Smith – all decided to return for another year instead of turning pro.
Each athlete has been locked in during the in-person voluntary workouts and team meetings via Zoom.
With national media outlets counting the Crimson Tide out, Saban and company are looking forward to proving again that it’s the measuring stick of college football.
Despite technical issues, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine released a segment via In My Own Words on Wednesday in discussing how important this campaign is to the veterans on the team.
